PRODUCTION MANAGER

Department: Production

Reports to: Plant Manager

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Provide strategic leadership for production operations to ensure the achievement of manufacturing objectives, operational efficiency, and compliance with quality, safety, occupational health, environmental, and food safety standards. Drive sustainable business results through KPI management, continuous improvement initiatives, and a strong culture of safety and EHS excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct and oversee production activities to ensure the manufacturing schedule is met.
• Ensure the achievement of the key performance indicators (KPIs) established by the organization.
• Lead cross-functional teams to address operational issues and drive continuous process improvement.
• Ensure the proper allocation and management of human, material, and technical resources.
• Participate in the evaluation and launch of new products, ensuring customer requirements are met.
• Drive continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
• Track and ensure the effective implementation of corrective actions arising from customer complaints and internal findings.
• Coordinate and take part in operational meetings to review results, progress, and action plans.
• Promote compliance with Management Systems and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and standards, promoting a culture of safe work across the operation.
• Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of operational risks, ensuring the timely implementation of preventive and corrective actions to avoid workplace incidents and accidents.
• Ensure compliance with training programs, audits, and safety inspections, as well as incident analysis, following up on action plans derived from findings.

   

• REQUIREMENTS

  Education

  • Completed Bachelor's degree or Engineering degree, preferably in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced level of English, capable of maintaining fluent conversations and engaging effectively in both professional and interpersonal communication.

  Experience

  • More than 3 years of experience in leadership positions within production or manufacturing areas.

  Technical Knowledge

  • Extrusion blow molding (EBM), injection molding, injection blow molding (IBM), stretch blow molding (SBM), and screen printing processes.
  • Polymer and copolymer processing.
  • Analysis and problem-solving tools.
  • Key performance indicator (KPI) management.
  • ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Food safety (FSSC 22000).
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Industrial Safety knowledge.
